                <abstract>
                            <para>This dataset contains occurrence records of vascular plants collected in 2023 from monitoring plots established in the Mayorska valley (a gully system in the Dnipropetrovsk region, Ukraine). A total of 289 sample plots (4 × 4 m) were surveyed, resulting in 263 vascular plant species recorded. The dataset represents steppe vegetation islands preserved within gully landscapes, which play a crucial role in maintaining biodiversity in the agricultural matrix of southern Ukraine. The data can be used for analyses of species richness, hemeroby, naturalness, functional diversity, and as a baseline for monitoring vegetation changes under climate change and land-use transformation.

The resource contributes to the knowledge of steppe flora in Eastern Europe and supports conservation and restoration planning for gully ecosystems, which act as important refugia for native steppe species.</para>

Established 289 permanent plots (4 × 4 m) in 2023 to cover the range of microhabitats (slopes, bottoms, uplands).

Recorded all vascular plant species present within each plot.

Counted the number of individuals for each species as a measure of abundance.

Georeferenced each plot using GPS and recorded coordinates in WGS84.

Standardized species names according to the GBIF Backbone Taxonomy.

Compiled the dataset in Darwin Core format (Occurrence), ensuring quality control and compatibility with GBIF standards.</para>
