Areas of the flood zone and the impact zone of Oleksandrivka Reservoir within the Buzky Gard National Nature Park were selected for mapping of rare species of flora and fauna. Registrations of flora and fauna species took place in July 2013 during expeditions to the target territories. Species identification was done immediately during the field research.
