Aves records from the territory of Chornobyl Exclusion Zone (mainly Chornobyl Radiation and Ecological Biosphere Reserve), Ukraine, collected during 2022-2023. Contains 104 records of the 28 bird species.

Sampling Methods

Occurrences, reported here, were obtained by direct observation and counting of the Aves species occurrences along casual routes during work trips within the territory of the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone by the members of the scientific department of the Chornobyl Radiation and Ecological Biosphere Reserve. Observations were carried out in different seasons.

Method step description:

  1. Direct observation and recordings of the bird species along the casual routes.
  2. Recording of observations in “Survey123” application.
  3. Preparing an occurrences dataset.
