Descripción

The dataset includes finds of 613 species of plants from the Luhansk administrative region of Ukraine. Of these, 607 vascular plants and 6 species of cryptogamous flora are mentioned as a result of created botanical descriptions of the surveyed territory.

The dataset consists of finds from Luhansk administrative region of Ukraine, namely northern part of Luhansk region: Krasna river basin, Aidar river valley, "Striltsivsky steppe" nature reserve.

The dataset consists of finds of vascular plants (Polypodiopsida, Pinopsida, Magnoliopsida and Liliopsida classes), mosses (Abietinella abietina (Hedw.) Fleisch., Ceratodon purpureus (Hedw.) Brid., Rhytidium rugosum (Hedw.) Kindb., Syntrichia ruralis (Hedw.) F. Weber & Mohr) and lichens (Cladonia rei Schaer., Collema tenax (Sw.) Ach.).

Métodos de muestreo

The location of the species was recorded during the establishment of the site for geobotanical description. Geotagging was done using a GPS navigator.

Área de Estudio The research was conducted in the spring-summer period (May-August) from 2013 to 2020. The territory of the valleys of the Krasna river and its tributaries - Kobylka, Mechetna, Duvanka within the Kreminskyj, Svativskyj, Troitskyj districts of Luhansk region, as well as the valley of the Aidar river in the middle course from Novopskov to Starobilsk were surveyed by reconnaissance and detailed route method. In some expeditions such scientists as Poliovyj Ye. V. and Pavlenko-Barysheva V. S. participated. This dataset was prepared (correctly organized according to Darwin Core standards) and published with the help of the project "Preservation of data on biodiversity of Ukraine during the Russian occupation" funded by "Documenting Ukraine" initiative. The initiative is financed by the Institute for Human Sciences in Vienna (https://www.iwm.at/).

  2. Organizing of creation of geobotanical description.
  3. Georeferencing with the help of GPS device.
  4. Species identification.
  5. Organizing of the dataset with the use of Turboveg software.
