Описание

Within this dataset data on rare species of vascular plants of the Lower Dnieper sands (Kherson and Mykolaiv regions) are given, which include 92 species (10.4 % of the total number of species of the studied territory), belonging to 4 classes, 24 families and 77 genera. Among them in the European and World Red List - 1 species (Agropyron dasyanthum), in the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora - 7 species (all representatives of the Orchidaceae family), in the list of the Bern Convention on the Protection of Wild Flora and fauna and natural habitats in Europe - 6 species (Ostericum palustre, Lindernia procumbens, Zostera marina - only in Bern), in the Red Book of Ukraine - 28 species (Alyssum tortuosum subsp. savranicum, Betula pubescens var. pubescens, Goniolimon graminifolium), there are 29 species in the Red List of Kherson region, 6 species in the Red List of Mykolaiv region. The list of species includes plants that are proposed for inclusion in the Red List of the Kherson region - 26 species and the Red List of the Mykolaiv region - 14 species (only for - Centaurea odessana, Moehringia trinervia). The spread of these species across the arenas of the Lower Dnipro sands was also noted. It has been established that the highest sociological status is the Kinburn Spit, where most of the species are represented endemically (Crambe maritima, Eryngium maritimum, Astrodaucus littoralis, etc.). The second place in terms of the number of rare species is occupied by the Ivanivka arena, characteristic only of this arena - Allium regelianum, Muscari neglectum, Tulipa gesneriana. The next place in terms of the number of sozophytes is occupied by the Chalbaska arena - 6 species are unique to this area (Ostericum palustre, Dactylorhiza majalis, Eremogone rigida, etc.). Oleshkivska Arena is in fourth place. The fifth place is occupied by the Zburyivska arena, characteristic only for it are - Athyrium felix-femina, Dryopteris filis-mas. The penultimate place is occupied by the Kozacho-Lagerska arena, Nymphaea alba, N. candida and Schoenoplectus mucronatus are characteristic only for this area. The last one is the Kakhovka Arena.

The penultimate place is occupied by the Kozacho-Lagerska arena, Nymphaea alba, N. candida and Schoenoplectus mucronatus are characteristic only for this area. The last one is the Kakhovka Arena. The distribution of these species on the territory of nature reserves of various ranks of state and local importance is also shown. In general, the Lower Dnipro sands nature reserve fund is represented by 30 objects (including: 28 objects in the territory of the Kherson region (33.7% of all objects in the region) and 2 in the Mykolaiv region (1.4%). Among 30 objects The objects of the nature reserve fund of the Lower Dnipro sands are presented as follows: biosphere reserve (partially) – 1 object, national natural parks (2 – partially) – 3, regional landscape park – 1, nature reserves – 5, protected tracts – 4, monuments 14 nature reserves, 2 parks-monuments of horticultural art. Among them are 7 objects of national importance and 23 of local importance. The species identification was performed according to the known, widely-used approaches and techniques in botany. Data on the distribution of rare species were displayed in the following nature reserve objects: 1. Mykolaiv region: regional landscape park "Kinburnska spit", national nature park "Biloberezhya Svyatoslava". 2. Kherson Region: Black Sea Biosphere Reserve "Solonozerna Area" and "Ivano-Rybalchanska Area", National Nature Park "Oleshkivski Pisky", National Nature Park "Nizhnyodniprovskyi", Forest Reserve "Berezovi Kolki", Landscape Reserve "Sagi", general zoological reserve "Korsunskyi", botanical reserve "Khrestova Saga", botanical reserve "Shaby", protected tract "Malokakhovskyi pine forest", protected tract "Oleshkiv pine forest".

Охват исследования The Lower Dnipro sands are a unique, largest sand massif in the Northern Black Sea region, which is of great importance in shaping the biodiversity of the region. The vegetation of this territory is very diverse, it is represented by forest vegetation (birch, aspen, alder, oak and ash nuts), shrub thickets, floodplain-meadow, meadow, meadow-steppe, halophilous-meadow, halophyte, swamp, water and synanthropic vegetation. According to physical and geographical zoning, the study area belongs to the riverine arenas of the Dnipro within the borders of the Kherson and Mykolaiv regions. The riverine arenas of the Dnipro River (Kakhovska, Kozacho-Lagerska, Oleshkivska, Zburyivska, Ivanovska, Chalbaska, Kinburnska) and six inter-arena flat-plain geocomplexes - Dnipryansky, Radensky, Chulakivsky, Ozhigolsky, Kopanivskyi and Kinburnsko-Ivanivskyi are located on the territory of two botanical and geographical regions: Nizhnyodniprovskyi floodplain and Oleshkiv sand, which in turn belong to the Lower Dnipro dry-steppe region, which belongs to the Black Sea-Priazov dry-steppe province (Gordienko, 1969; Marynych et al., 2003). The data are based on the materials of field research conducted by the author during 2013–2022.
Контроль качества The author is a botanist with many years of work experience within the studied area. The author is fully responsible for the quality of data provided within the dataset.
