Descrição
The dataset include occurrences from the dry bottom of the upper part of the former Kakhovka reservoir at the territory of Zaporizhzhia District, Zaporizhzhia Region. Kakhovka reservoir disappeared after the Russian terrorist attack on the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant (HPP) (Kherson Region). The aim of the research was to establish the initial permanent monitoring plots according to the EDGG biodiversity plot methodology (Dengler et al. 2016). This dataset contains 228 occurrences of 8 relevés (Biodiversity EDGG) and nearest territories of dry bottoms of 100 taxa names of vascular plants We sampled cryptogams, but they were not recorded during sampling. The main information about the relevés submitted to GrassPlot (Dengler et al. 2018). The nomenclature of the dataset is as follows: “Ukrainian Plant Trait Database: UkrTrait v. 1.0” - (Vynokurov et al. 2024).
This IPT archives the data and thus serves as the data repository. The data and resource metadata are available for download in the downloads section. The versions table lists other versions of the resource that have been made publicly available and allows tracking changes made to the resource over time.

Métodos de Amostragem
The study of was conducted using route-field methods. Additionally, the complete relevés with 8 nested-plot biodiversity series collected during summer and autumn following the EDGG methodology (Dengler et al. 2016) are available in the GrassPlot database (Dengler et al. 2018).
Área de Estudo | The dataset contains co-occurrences of vascular plants recorded during 2024 at the territory of the upper part of former Kakhovka reservoir near the city of Zaporizhzhya (Zaporizhzhia region) after the Russian terrorist attack on the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant (HPP). The study area is situated in the Zaporizhzhia Region. |

Controle de Qualidade | Some specimens of the vascular plants and almost were collected as herbarium for determination and verification after the fieldwork. After digitizing the data, we harmonised the taxonomic information according to the nomenclature sources: The nomenclature of the dataset is as follows: “Ukrainian Plant Trait Database: UkrTrait v. 1.0” - (Vynokurov et al. 2024). Then we used GBIF Backbone Taxonomy (GBIF species matching tool: https://www.gbif.org/tools/species-lookup) for the taxonomic check and implemented minor corrections of species names regarding misprints and problematic taxa to avoid misinterpretation. We additionally checked and verified the header |
Descrição dos passos do método:
- Site selection, field research.
- Identification of herbarium specimens of vascular plants.
- Digitizing the field data forms.
- Data checking and cleaning.
- Transformation of the dataset according to the Darwin Core standards.
- Taxonomic check, final quality control
