Descrição
The dataset contains data on fish species in beach seine catches, obtained during ichthyological research in the upper and middle parts of the Kakhovka reservoir (within the Zaporizhia region). The dataset includes data on the findings of 26 fish species registered during the study of catches in the specified territory, as well as information on the number of individuals, partly their biomass.
This IPT archives the data and thus serves as the data repository. The data and resource metadata are available for download in the downloads section. The versions table lists other versions of the resource that have been made publicly available and allows tracking changes made to the resource over time.

Métodos de Amostragem
The records are presented in chronological order of description. The research was carried out using the method of catching the lithoral sections of the reservoir with a beach seine 10 m long at a depth of up to 1.5 m, the area of the catch area at each station was 10-50 m2. Portable mass measurement devices were used. Species identification was carried out visually.
Área de Estudo | The dataset represents records of juvenile fish individuals caught during field studies in 2012-2020 period. We express our gratitude to the Zaporizhia Fish Protection Patrol for technical support and assistance in conducting the study. We are sincerely grateful to the NGO "Ukrainian Nature Conservation Group" for financial support. We thank the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the opportunity to conduct scientific research in wartime! |

Controle de Qualidade | Author is fully responsible for the quality of data provided within the dataset. Also the species are well-identified visually, giving very high reliability level when the information was obtained from the third parties. |
Descrição dos passos do método:
- Conducting of field trips to study sites.
- Species identification (by visual signs).
- Georeferencing.
- Organising of the dataset according to the Darwin Core standards.
