Descrição
The dataset represents 215 records of 21 animal species from the Kreminsky forests and surrounding areas in the Luhansk region, Ukraine. The total species list contains 15 mammals, such as Canis lupus, Vulpes vulpes, Meles meles, Lutra lutra, Martes foina, Mustela putorius, Cervus elaphus, Alces alces, etc., and 6 birds, such as Haliaeetus albicilla, Strix aluco, etc. Also, the dataset includes 12 animal species, checked by camera traps at 7 locations of the Kreminsky forests.
This IPT archives the data and thus serves as the data repository. The data and resource metadata are available for download in the downloads section. The versions table lists other versions of the resource that have been made publicly available and allows tracking changes made to the resource over time.

Métodos de Amostragem
We studied the animals of the Kreminsky forests and the surrounding areas. Most of the releves are represented by mammals. A lot of records describe a detailed story of wolf tracking. Some records include points of the animal species and their behavior, points of the holes, markers of their life, such as urine marks and excrements. Also, we studied animal diversity of the Kreminsky forests, and animals’ daily activity using camera traps. Most of the events are represented by mammals. Camera records describe the diversity of mammals and birds living in forest biotopes. Some events open a detailed story of animals' daily activity, with the exact time of their visit to the camera trap point, animal curiosity, and food interests. We considered one event as the appearance of an individual of a certain animal species in the camera with a difference of 30 minutes. We also noted the time of human inspection of camera traps as a factor influencing the animals’ behavior and possible caution. We used 4 camera traps Bolyguard SG520-DB, in different periods in the autumn and winter seasons. The distribution of the species points was recorded using a Garmin GPSMAP 60CSx navigator.
Área de Estudo | The dataset covers the area of the Kreminsky forests and surrounding areas that are located in the steppe zone. The research region covers the floodplain and the part of the pine terrace of the Siverskiy Donets river and its tributaries. Kreminsky forests are located near the Kreminna town, Kreminnskyi district, Luhansk region. |
