The dataset consists of records of insects' species puplished in two literature resources authored by Kryshtal O. P., namely Kryshtal O. P. Materials to studying the entomofauna of the Middle Dnieper valley. Kyiv, 1949. 249p. [Кришталь О. П. Матеріали до вивчення ентомофауни долини Середнього Дніпра. Київ, 1949. 249 с.] and Kryshtal O. P. Entomofauna of soil and litter in the valley of the middle course of the Dnieper. Kyiv, 1956. 423p. [Кришталь О. П. Ентомофауна ґрунту та підстилки в долині середньоï течіï р. Дніпра.
