Description

The dataset contains floristic and avifauna data for the planned local landscape reserve «Maloberezyanskyi» in the vicinity of Mala Berezyanka village (Tarashcha district, Kyiv region). We submit the results of bird censuse for the pond and overgrown reservoir and the list of plant species identified as a result of 7 vegetation releves.

Data Records

The data in this occurrence resource has been published as a Darwin Core Archive (DwC-A), which is a standardized format for sharing biodiversity data as a set of one or more data tables. The core data table contains 214 records.

Geographic Coverage

The data was collected in the surrounding areas of the Mala Berezyanka village (Tarashchansky district, Kyiv region), the of the Hnylyi Tikych river valley.

Sampling Methods

On the 5-th of July, 2021 we conducted two absolute censuses of birds for the pond and eutrophic reservoir in the places of planned reserve. In the vicinity of the Mala Berezyanka village we collected 7 vegetation releves. The plot size was 16 m2 (4×4 m) for grasslands and 1 m2 for aquaic vegetation.

Study Extent The research was conducted in July 2021 in collaboration with Sirenko I.P. and with the support of the NGO "Ukrainian Nature Conservation Group".
Quality Control The author is fully responsible for the quality of data provided within the dataset.

Method step description:

  1. Visual and audial registration of presence of avian species.
  2. Collecting of vegetation releves.
  3. Species identification.
  4. Georeferencing of the findings.
