The database includes finds of habitats of Rosa gallica L. on the territory of the "Medobory" Nature Reserve with a geobotanical description of each locality.

"Medobory" Nature Reserve, Tovtry Range in the vicinity of the village of Gorodnytsia, Ternopil district; villages of Sadzhivka, Mali Birky, Chortkiv district, Ternopil region, Ukraine.

Sampling Methods

The research was conducted in accordance with the Program of the Annals of Nature for Reserves and National Nature Parks (https://zakon.rada.gov.ua/rada/show/v465_737-02#n12) using detailed route methods. The detected localities were photographed and geolocated by GPS devices and a Lenovo tablet using the Locus Map program. Projective grass cover in the descriptions was recorded as a percentage for each species separately, for the database they were converted into points on a scale: 1 - ≤1%, 2 - 2-5%, 3 - 6-20%, 4 - 21-50%, 5 -> 50%.

Study Extent The research was carried out in 1995-2020 on the territory of the "Medobory" Nature Reserve (within the Tovtry hills' range). In 2008-2009, Anna Soltys-Lelek (Oqtcovskyj National Park, Poland) conducted an investigation to study the species composition of the genus Rosa in the reserve.
Quality Control The authors of the dataset are fully responsible for the quality of data provided in it.
