Description
The dataset includes registrations of rare and typical plant species of the steppe biotopes of the Mykolaiv region (the vicinity of the "Yelanets Steppe" nature reserve, the valley of the Chichikliya River, the valley of the Berezan River, zakaznyk "Balka Zarubina"). Additionally, the dataset includes records of common and rare plant species and subspecies, as well as several records of animals, within the steppe zone of Mykolaiv region during 2019-2024, in particular within the basins of the Southern Buh, Ingul, Chychykliya, Chortala, Berezan', Sasyk, Gromokliya, Solonykha rivers.

Méthodes d'échantillonnage
The formation of the dataset was carried out as a result of field surveys of the territories designed for inclusion in the nature reserve fund of the Mykolaiv region. The dataset includes species of plants and some species of animals listed database of geobotanical descriptions of the vegetation of steppe biotopes of the Mykolaiv region, as well as data geolocated using iNaturalist web resource. At the same time, this dataset is currently the most complete summary of information on the distribution of many rare and endemic plants included in the Red Data Book of Ukraine, the Bern Convention and other nature protection lists within the territories proposed for the expansion of the Yelanets Steppe Nature Reserve, as well as information about the vegetation of the Chichiklia and Berezan river valleys, which were the "white spots" of biodiversity until now.
