The project "Polesia - Wilderness Without Borders" is a part of the Endangered Landscapes Programme funded by Arcadia (a charitable fund of Lisbet Rausing and Peter Baldwin). The project is coordinated by Frankfurt Zoological Society (FZS) and implemented in collaboration with the British Trust of Ornithology (BTO)

Species occurrences, reported here, were obtained by using 2 methods: 1. Indirect observations and records of Nyctereutes procyonoides occurrences during camera trap monitoring. Camera trap data was gathered and recorded by obtained in two ways: systematically (summer monitoring sessions with camera traps distributed randomly on the territory of CREBR) and opportunistically (during lynx monitoring sessions in autumn-winter). 2. Opportunistic fecal sampling during the field trips in 2020-2021.

Collecting, sorting, and tagging systematic camera trap data (summer monitoring of large mammals and burned areas) within the Endangered Landscapes Program project “Polesia – wilderness without borders” (summer 2020-spring 2022). Collecting, sorting, and tagging opportunistic camera trap data (lynx monitoring) within the Endangered Landscapes Program project “Polesia – wilderness without borders” (autumn 2020-autumn 2022)
  2. Collecting and analyzing genetic material (autumn 2020- summer 2022)
  3. Preparing a dataset on species occurrence
