Created (declared): By the decision of the Kherson Regional Council of People's Deputies of August 19, 1983 №441/16 "On the classification and network of territories and objects of the nature reserve fund of the region" The purpose of the NRF object creation (declaration): The site was established to ensure the protection of rare wetland vegetation in Ukraine. The territory of the object is part of the territory of another category of NRF: The territory is part of the Nyzhnodniprovskyi National Nature Park. Total area of the protected area in hectares, in total: 20 hectares The territory of the protected area corresponds to the national level of value, the preservation of which is of national importance. The territory is included in the boundaries of the Nizhnedniprovsky National Nature Park of national importance. On the territory of the reserve, there are 16 rare species of plants and animals included in international, national and regional nature protection lists and 3 rare plant formations included in the Green Book of Ukraine. On the territory of the reserve, 2 rare species of plants included in the international and national conservation have been identified. Red Data Book of Ukraine - Leucojum aestivum, Red List of Kherson region - Quercus robur The site corresponds to the national level of value. The list of the of vascular plants includes 92 species of 33 families. The nomenclature of the vascular plants in dataset follows “Nomenclatural Checklist of vascular plants of Ukraine” (Mosyakin & Fedoronchuk 1999).
