Description

The database includes records of Milvus migrans (Boddaert, 1783) made in breeding season in Kiev administrative oblast of Ukraine during 1986-2013. All records were collected by Kostiushyn V.A., Domashevskiy S.V. and Grishchenko V.N. during field studies.

Sampling Methods

Data was collected by conducting point counts in the nesting biotopes of the species.

Study Extent Occurrence of animals was confirmed by personal observations of birds during nesting season.
Quality Control Authors are fully responsible for the correctness of species identifications, birds number (breeding pairs) and georeferencing.

Method step description:

  1. Point counts of Milvus migrans (Boddaert, 1783) breeding pairs in appropriate biotopes.
  2. Georeferencing using Google maps.
