Description
The data were collected as part of hydrobiological studies of the Dnipro-Buh estuarine region of Kherson Hydrobiological Station of the NAS of Ukraine and Nyzhniodniprovskyi National Nature Park. The data collection was carried out as part of expeditionary studies using traditional hyrdobiological methods.
Data Records
The data in this occurrence resource has been published as a Darwin Core Archive (DwC-A), which is a standardized format for sharing biodiversity data as a set of one or more data tables. The core data table contains 343 records.
This IPT archives the data and thus serves as the data repository. The data and resource metadata are available for download in the downloads section. The versions table lists other versions of the resource that have been made publicly available and allows tracking changes made to the resource over time.

Sampling Methods
Hydrological data were collected according to generally accepted methods. Benthic samples were collected with a Petersen grab (small and medium models) and washed through a №19 nylon mesh sieve. Plankton samples were collected by filtering a certain volume of water through an Apstein net made of nylon mesh №68. Samples were fixed with 4% formalin solution, primary processing and species/taxa identification were carried out in laboratory conditions. Specimens were mounted on microscopic slides and identified using taxonomic keys.
