Description

Own long-term data of fish collections are given. There are mostly freshwater fish from the basins of the Dnipro, Danube, Southern Buh, Dniester and other rivers.

Data Records

The data in this occurrence resource has been published as a Darwin Core Archive (DwC-A), which is a standardized format for sharing biodiversity data as a set of one or more data tables. The core data table contains 3,004 records.

This IPT archives the data and thus serves as the data repository. The data and resource metadata are available for download in the downloads section. The versions table lists other versions of the resource that have been made publicly available and allows tracking changes made to the resource over time.

Versions

The table below shows only published versions of the resource that are publicly accessible.

Sampling Methods

The data on fish registration was collected by the authors on their own. Some of the collected fish specimens were transfered to collections of The National Museum of Natural History of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

Study Extent This dataset consists of a number of points where fish species were registered on the territory of Ukraine from 2001 to 2021.
Quality Control Authors of the dataset are fully responsible for the correctness of species identifications, information on organisms' quantity and georeferencing.

Method step description:

  1. Collecting of the material.
  2. Identification of the registered specimens (definition to species level).
  3. Georeferencing.
