Description
As part of the company's environmental monitoring, a study was conducted to assess the impact of the activities of the gas industry management department «Lvivhazvydobuvannia» on the flora and fauna of selected sites in the Lviv region during winter. The dataset includes records of plant, fungi and animal species observed within the surveyed areas. The data were collected to evaluate biodiversity changes and provide recommendations for minimizing industrial impact on local ecosystems.
Data Records
The data in this occurrence resource has been published as a Darwin Core Archive (DwC-A), which is a standardized format for sharing biodiversity data as a set of one or more data tables. The core data table contains 489 records.
This IPT archives the data and thus serves as the data repository. The data and resource metadata are available for download in the downloads section. The versions table lists other versions of the resource that have been made publicly available and allows tracking changes made to the resource over time.
Versions
The table below shows only published versions of the resource that are publicly accessible.

Sampling Methods
The data were collected through field surveys conducted in winter under standardized biodiversity assessment protocols. The surveys included direct species identification, photographic documentation, and habitat condition assessment. Whenever possible, animals were identified in the field without being removed from their natural habitat or preserved. However, some specimens were collected for further study: dry specimens were pinned, while others were preserved in 96% ethanol. These specimens were typically examined using an MBS-10 microscope.

Quality Control | In some cases, only higher taxonomic ranks were provided when precise identification was not possible. Frequently encountered species were also documented on the iNaturalist platform, but their geographic coordinates were not duplicated in this dataset. |
