Description

Nechayivshchyna is a landscape reserve. This reserve is located on the territory of the Boryspil urban hromada (urban community), on the outskirts of Ivankiv village. The area of this reserve is 17.6 hectares, of which 6.5 hectares are arable land, 5.6 hectares are forest plantations, and 5.5 hectares are meadows. The reserve was established in 2010. On the territory of the reserve, on arable land, there is a group of kurgans (tumulus, burial mounds) (Vasyliuk et al., 2012). Our dataset contains 217 occurrences of 103 species.

Data Records

The data in this occurrence resource has been published as a Darwin Core Archive (DwC-A), which is a standardized format for sharing biodiversity data as a set of one or more data tables. The core data table contains 217 records.

This IPT archives the data and thus serves as the data repository. The data and resource metadata are available for download in the downloads section. The versions table lists other versions of the resource that have been made publicly available and allows tracking changes made to the resource over time.

Title Vascular plants in Nechayivshchyna landscape reserve (Boryspil district, Kyiv oblast, Ukraine)

Sampling Methods

We studied the distribution of vascular plants in the Nechayivshchyna landscape reserve in August 2025. We also studied the plants that grow in the Ilta (Iltytsia) river, on the border of this reserve. For each species, we noted its abundance using a five-point scale: 1 – rare, 2 – occasional, 3 – frequent, 4 – common, 5 – abundant. Taxonomy – according to GBIF Backbone Taxonomy.

Study Extent Europe: Ukraine: Kyiv oblast: Boryspil district. East European Plain: Dnipro Lowland.
Quality Control We determined GPS coordinates using a Garmin eTrex H GPS navigator. We posted photos of some plants on iNaturalist website: Astragalus cicer (https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/310052826), Crataegus rhipidophylla (https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/310052899), Inula helenium (https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/310052890), Sanguisorba officinalis (https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/310052825), Serratula tinctoria (https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/310052880), Veratrum lobelianum (https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/310052868), etc.
