Description

The dataset includes a list of higher vascular plants registered within the village of Ochkyne (Shostkinskyi district, Sumy region) within the Desnyanskyi Biosphere Reserve. A total of 349 observations and 259 species shown in the dataset.

The dataset was prepared within the framework of a charity scholarship of the charity organization Kyiv Landscape Initiative.

Sampling Methods

Observations (excursion and semi-stationary methods) were carried out by the route method with the compilation of floristic lists, some difficult-to-diagnose species were collected in the herbarium, partially transferred to the Herbarium of the M.G. Kholodny Institute of Botany, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (KW). Information is given about a new species of invasive plants of the flora of Ukraine, Axyris amaranthoides L., as well.

Study Extent The dataset covers the areas around the village of Ochkyne - the village on the left bank of the Desna River, occupying the first and second floodplain terraces and a part of the floodplain.
Quality Control The author bears full responsibility for the quality of the data provided in the dataset.

  2. Samplings of plants.
  3. Species identification.
  4. Georeferencing.
  5. Creating of the dataset according to Darwin Core standards.
