Description
The database includes localities of wild plants of the flora of the Right Bank Forest-Steppe – a natural region in the central part of Ukraine.
Data Records
The data in this occurrence resource has been published as a Darwin Core Archive (DwC-A), which is a standardized format for sharing biodiversity data as a set of one or more data tables. The core data table contains 1,067 records.
This IPT archives the data and thus serves as the data repository. The data and resource metadata are available for download in the downloads section. The versions table lists other versions of the resource that have been made publicly available and allows tracking changes made to the resource over time.
Versions
The table below shows only published versions of the resource that are publicly accessible.

Sampling Methods
This database is the result of the research project "Flora of the Right Bank Forest Steppe". The recording of localities was carried out mainly during the passage of routes through the study area. Localities were fixed both along the routes and at model sites. In several places, the flora and its changes were studied in stationary conditions for a long time. Well-known and recognizable plants were recorded on the spot. More rare, valuable, unknown and other similar plants that needed to be studied in laboratory conditions were selected in the form of herbarium and other types of specimens.
Study Extent | The Right-Bank Forest-Steppe is highlighted in the official physical-geographical zoning of Ukraine (Marynych O.M., Parkhomenko H.O., Petrenko O.M., Shyshchenko P.H. 2003. Improved scheme of the physical and geographical zoning of the Ukraine. Ukrainian Geographical Journal, 2: 16–20.). It covers the entire territory of Vinnytsia Oblast, large parts of Kyiv City, Cherkasy, Khmelnytskyi, Kirovohrad, Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Odesa and Zhytomyr Oblasts and small parts of Poltava Oblast. The research was partly carried out in collaboration with other researchers and naturalists, but the presented list of plant localities was collected by the author directly. |
