The database contains a list of species of animals (as well as some plants and fungi) that were noted by the author in the Sumskyj district in Sumy region.

The research was conducted according to standard methods for the study of mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians and insects, mainly by the method of route surveys.

For identifying some particular species, specialists were asked by the author for clarification or assistance: murine rodents - D.S. Sokolovsky, Insecta - O.V. Vasilyuk, fish - Y.K. Kutsokon, Tortricidae - V.V. Kavurka, Mollusca - I.O. Balashov, Diptera - V.O. Korneev, plants - L.O. Ilminska and O.I. Shinder. |
