Description

The dataset contains notes and records of fauna representatives registered on the territory of Protasiv Yar - a promissing object of nature reserve fund. This dataset is prepared in honor of Roman Ratushnyi - Ukrainian public figure, journalist, theorist of revolutionary neo-urbanism and volunteer soldier, who was killed during the Battle of Izium on 9 June 2022, in an enemy ambush by Russian occupants. He is known for the struggle for the preservation of the capital's Protasiv Yar tract.

Project Data

The results of the project will be a backbone for establishment of new protected areas and Emerald Network sites, as well as for development of management plans for already existing protected areas. As a result, we will prepare documents for all the important sites identified and provide them directly to the Ministry of Environmental Protection of Ukraine. Our gathered data on the occurrences of protected species will facilitate the establishment of new protected areas.

Sampling Methods

The sampling methods include route records, express assessment of biological diversity during excursion routes.

Study Extent The dataset consists of records that are result of visual observations and studies of local biodiversity in July 2022.
Quality Control The authors are responsible for the quality of data provided within the dataset.

  2. Visual ientification of representatives of biodiversity.

  4. Georeferencing.
