Description

Occurrence data was obtained from 130 researchers, represented by 63 research organizations from all over Ukraine, and collected in the framework of the project "Open biodiversity data: serving Nature Conservation in Ukraine", supported by The Rufford Foundation. All the information collected in the dataset was prepared and organized by the authors in the framework of the seminar "Distribution of rare species of biota in Ukraine". It is also planned to publish a printed version of these materials, but publishing has been postponed due to the start of the Russian-Ukrainian war.

Data Records

The data in this occurrence resource has been published as a Darwin Core Archive (DwC-A), which is a standardized format for sharing biodiversity data as a set of one or more data tables. The core data table contains 7,961 records.

This IPT archives the data and thus serves as the data repository. The data and resource metadata are available for download in the downloads section. The versions table lists other versions of the resource that have been made publicly available and allows tracking changes made to the resource over time.

Data was collected, georeferenced, and organized by the authors of each articles on their own. Additional data cleaning and postprocessing were conducted by Oleksii Marushchak and Oleh Prylutskyi.

Quality Control	Authors of each particular article are fully responsible for the correctness of species identifications, information on organisms' quantity and georeferencing. Sporadic issues in georeferencing, revealed during data cleaning, were corrected where it was possible, by Oleh Prylutskyi.

Data aggregation and preparation.
Data cleaning and alignment to Darwin Core standard.
