The nomenclature of the vascular plants in dataset follows «Nomenclatural Checklist of vascular plants of Ukraine» (Mosyakin & Fedoronchuk 1999). The area is 116 hectares. The was assigned in accordance with the decision of the third session of the 23rd convocation of the Kherson Regional Council dated 25.06.1998 No. 27. Тhe annotated list of the vascular plants recorded on territory of the botanical reserve «Shyroka balka» wich included 145 species.
