Description

The dataset consists of registrations of reptile and amphibian species, as well as some other species of birds, mammals and insects, in the areas of Prysyvaska village territorial community collected during field expeditions in May-August 2021.

Geographic Coverage

Dataset consists of points collected from the territory of Prysyvaska village territorial community, Kherson region of Ukraine.

Sampling Methods

Sampling was organized using car counts of animals killed on the roads and during route investigations (d=2 m). Animals were detected visually or by acoustic signals. Some snakes' or amphibian species were distinguished by the dead remnants or shed skin. Also information on snakes' presence and founds was collected from local residents.

Study Extent The data was collected during two field expeditions to the territory of Prysyvaska village territorial community in the area of northern Syvash lake: villages of Hryhorivka, Pershokostiantynivka, Novovolodymyrivka, Strohanivka, Ivanivka and Pavlivka.
Quality Control The authors ar fully responsible for the quality of data provided within the dataset.
