Description
The dataset includes a list of documented cases of outbreaks of parasitic diseases in domestic animals. All information about the discovered facts of infection and taxonomic affiliation were established and documented by specialists of the regional divisions of The State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection.
Data Records
The data in this occurrence resource has been published as a Darwin Core Archive (DwC-A), which is a standardized format for sharing biodiversity data as a set of one or more data tables. The core data table contains 2,458 records.
This IPT archives the data and thus serves as the data repository. The data and resource metadata are available for download in the downloads section. The versions table lists other versions of the resource that have been made publicly available and allows tracking changes made to the resource over time.

Sampling Methods
The dataset was created using the Microsoft Excel computer program. The information was received with different completeness of data, for different periods, and in some cases, individual regions refused to provide such information altogether. The species and other taxonomic groups' determination was made by the experts of the mentioned organisation. Georeferencing was made according to the description provided within the reports of the organisation.
| Study Extent | The dataset was created thanks to the information of The State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection regarding outbreaks of diseases of domestic animals caused by parasitic diseases. Unfortunately, state statistics and cadastre of such cases are not conducted according to a single model. At the same time, this data set is currently the most complete summary of information on the spread of parasites of domestic animals in Ukraine. |
