Description
The dataset consists of records of invasive and neolimnetic fish species, made in 2022-2023.
Data Records
The data in this occurrence resource has been published as a Darwin Core Archive (DwC-A), which is a standardized format for sharing biodiversity data as a set of one or more data tables. The core data table contains 561 records.
This IPT archives the data and thus serves as the data repository. The data and resource metadata are available for download in the downloads section. The versions table lists other versions of the resource that have been made publicly available and allows tracking changes made to the resource over time.
Versions
The table below shows only published versions of the resource that are publicly accessible.

Sampling Methods
The material was collected during the annual monitoring of fish in the Dnipro reservoirs, as well as during research on the monitoring of alien species of fish. Standard methods of field research were used: trawling, pond nets (survey of catches by commercial fishermen), seines, fishing rods, survey of catches by amateur fishermen, collection of dead fish. The approaches and methods of fish species capturing and identification were taken from the following literature source: Movchan Y.V. (2011). Fishes of Ukraine. Kyiv: Zoloti Vorota. 444 p. (in Ukr.); Kottelat M., Freyhof J. (2007). Handbook of European freshwater fishes. Switzerland: Delemont. 646 p.
Study Extent | This dataset consists of a number of points where fish species were registered on the territory of Dnipro, Danube, Southern Buh and some other rivers' basins. |
